“Washington, D.C.” (US Capitol)

Washington, DC

"American Pride" (Freedom)

Everything (Monuments, museums, statues, cemeteries, etc) in DC, is huge… symbolizing perhaps the American pride I often heard about, which by the way I respect and understand.

Though, when we visited the US Capitol we learned that the statue in top of the building is called Freedom. So no building in the City is taller than the Capitol Building because “Nothing is taller than Freedom"

I also learned that Washington is the city inside the District of Columbia or D.C. but that is not as a cool of a fact as the freedom statue fact.

Some pictures of our US Capitol Tour:

(There is a room where there are several statues representing all the states... of course Brigham young was representing Utah)
