The Ad of the Week: "Wonder" (Otto, Germany)
"The surprise factor"
Surprise factor, is a well-known and way over-used storytelling technique in Advertising.
It's basically, telling a story in such a way that creates a certain perception of events which is then revealed to be false from the original perception.
There are way too many good examples of 'surprise factor' in Advertising, however this #Otto campaign stood up somehow. Maybe by its' irreverence, randomness or silliness. or maybe it's just me.
What do you think?
